Thanks

Dear Chinese People,

Thank you for your food. It is very good, and if you didn't share your recipes I would not know this. If what I think of as Chinese food isn't the stuff you eat at home, thank you for letting us silly Americans pretend. You have made my life a little brighter. I love you.

Sincerely,
John Samuel

Exercise

I walk.
I see leaves changing color and light fading from the sky.
I see bicycles built for two.
I see dads teaching daughters to pedal on training wheels.
I see husbands bringing home take-out to their families.
I see dads pushing little boys in swings.
I see kids raking leaves, walking dogs, and hugging parents.
I see hands held, smiles shared, kisses stolen.
I see togetherness.
I see contentment.
And the wind blows and a voice whispers, "Patience. Have faith."
So I keep walking.
